Cheng Zhijun, Director-General of the MOF's Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, and Zhang Bo, Deputy Director-General of the Center for Evaluation of the World Bank Loan Projects, attended the meeting and discussed on the work related to the bilateral government loan cooperation between China and France with a delegation led by Cyrille BELLIER, Director for the Balkans, Middle-East Asia Department of the French Development Agency (AFD).

 

After the meeting, the MOF and the AFD signed a loan agreement for the Daying River basin ecological protection and restoration demonstration project of Tengchong city, Yunnan province.

 

The project components include ecological restoration, rural ecological development, capacity building and technical support.

 

The total investment of the project is 450.71 million yuan ($63.21 million), with a loan of 50 million euros from the AFD. The loan has a term of 20 years, including a grace period of six years.

 

Upon completion, the project will help Tengchong city in implementing ecological protection and restoration in the Daying River basin, improving its rural environment and promoting high-quality green development.
