The Ministry of Finance organized a policy consultation via video conference from June 1 to 5, 2020, between the governments of Beijing and Shanghai, the Supreme People’s Court, and relevant departments of the State Council and World Bank’s Doing Business team.

The consultation meeting discussed China’s latest reform measures (from May 2, 2019 to May 1, 2020) related to the Bank’s 10 indicators, and the team made positive response to China’s achievements.

During a high-level policy dialogue held on the sideline of the consultation, key leaders of the Beijing and Shanghai municipal governments and senior management of the World Bank held in-depth exchanges on the reform of China’s business environment and other issues.

Zhang Wencai, Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, Ministry of Finance, chaired the events.
