Lu Jin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation of the Ministry of Finance, signed a loan agreement for Living Environment Integrated Rehabilitation Project of Tiandong county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, with Christian André Richter, Director of KfW Office in Beijing. 

 

The project will take out a KfW Promotional Loan of 80 million euros with a term of 15 years, including a grace period of five years. 

 

The project’s main components include urban drainage system rehabilitation and extension as well as wastewater treatment in rural areas. Upon completion, the project will play an exemplary role in promoting the improvement of drainage and wastewater treatment for county-level cities in China.

 

The two sides exchanged views on issues concerning bilateral loan cooperation policies and project implementation after the signing.
