The Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a loan agreement for the water supply and drainage integration project in the west of Jining city, East China's Shandong province, on December 21, 2022.
The loan totals 97.599 million euros. It includes a policy-based loan valued at 27.328 million euros with a term of 15 years,including a grace period of three years, and an investment-oriented loan valued at 70.271 million euros with a term of 23 years, including a grace period of six years.
The project aims to improve the sustainability, affordability, and safety in water and wastewater management services. The project outputs include establishing a sustainable water supply with diverse water sources and smart technology, expanding wastewater management services, and enhancing institutional and program management capacity.
