The Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a loan agreement for the comprehensive ecological governance demonstration project of the Lijiang River in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on December 15, 2022.

 

The loan totals 133.537 million euros with a term of 25 years, including a grace period of six years.

 

The project aims to improve the natural environmental and economic conditions in Guilin. The project will support to strengthen institutional capacity in river management and sustainable tourism, enhancing river ecological protection infrastructure, and implementing sustainable village preservation and low-carbon facilities.
