MOF, PBOC hold Q4 Director General level meeting of the informal coordination mechanism on debt issues with IMF

The Ministry of Finance (MOF), the People's Bank of China (PBOC) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) held the fourth quarter Director General level meeting of the informal coordination mechanism on debt issues on December 2, 2022. 
 
The attendees held an in-depth exchange of views on issues such as the global debt situation, the progress of debt treatment under G20 common framework, and the promotion of multinational development institutions’ participation in debt reduction. 
 
Cheng Zhijun, Director General of the MOF's Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, attended the meeting as the coordinator, and other participants from the Chinese side were Wang Kebing, Director General of the MOF's Department of Finance, Li Hongxia, Deputy Director-General of the MOF's Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation, and Jin Zhongxia, Director General of the International Department of the PBOC. 
 
Ceyla Pazarbasioglu, Director of the IMF's Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, as well as some other staff, participated in the meeting from the Fund side.
