On November 14, 2022, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the New Development Bank (NDB) signed a loan agreement for Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport Phase-III Expansion Project.
The loan totals 265 million euros with a term of 25 years, including a grace period of 4 years.
It will be used to support the construction of new airport runways, parking aprons and terminals, as well as supporting infrastructure construction, The Project involves expansion of the Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport to address capacity constraints.
After expansion, the Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport will have a design capacity to support annual passenger throughput of 38 million, cargo throughput of 300,000 tonnes and 300,000 aircraft movements.
