On the evening of November 3, 2022, the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank Group hosted an virtual IDA Meeting to discuss the proposal for Sri Lanka’s reverse graduation to IDA and the proposal for cancelling the implementation of contractual acceleration of Sri Lanka’s repayment on eligible IDA credits.

 

Li Hongxia, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation of China's Ministry of Finance and IDA Deputy of China, attended and delivered a speech at the meeting.
