The session reviewed and endorsed IFAD’s 2022 budget proposal, its decentralization strategy, South-South and triangular cooperation strategy, and biodiversity strategy as well as other documents. In addition, IFAD President Gilbert F. Houngbo and the Board members had a strategic discussion on the IFAD’s role in addressing climate change. 

Li Hongxia, IFAD Executive Director for China and Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation of China’s Ministry of Finance, attended the session and joined the discusssion.
