New Zealand hosted the 2021 Finance and Central Bank Deputies' Meeting (FCBDM) of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) as the APEC chair for 2021 on March 17 and 18. The meeting mainly discussed the APEC 2021 Finance Ministers’ Process (FMP) work plan, the regional economic and financial situation, future fiscal policies and budget management frameworks, the formulation of a new Strategy for Implementation of the Cebu Action Plan, and other topics. Yang Yingming, Director General of the International Economic Relations Department at the Ministry of Finance, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
