On June 24, the 13th edition of the Paris Forum was held in Paris, France. The participants discussed topics including the historical experience and future prospects of sovereign debt treatment. Liao Min, China's Vice Minister of Finance, attended the Forum and delivered remarks.

Liao emphasized that China attaches great importance to the debt issues of developing countries and has made positive contributions to helping developing countries ease debt pressures. He called on all parties to practice multilateralism, maintain a development-oriented approach, and work together to help developing countries address debt challenges at their root.

On the sidelines of the conference, Liao attended a ministerial luncheon hosted by Roland Lescure, French Minister for Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty. He also met separately with Director General of the French Treasury Bertrand Dumont, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Frantisek Ruzicka and the OECD's Chief Economist Stefano Scarpetta, Vice President of the World Bank Pablo Saavedra and Zeine Zeidane, Director of the African Department of the International Monetary Fund.

They exchanged views on issues of common interest, including global macroeconomic imbalances, China-France bilateral economic relations, industrial subsidies and the debt issues of African countries.
