The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) hosted its 2026 New Year Reception in Beijing on December 18. Lan Fo’an, China’s Minister of Finance and Governor of the AIIB, attended the event and delivered remarks. 

In his speech, Lan commended the remarkable success the AIIB has achieved over the past decade since its establishment, attributing it to the bank’s adherence to international, rule-based, and high-standard principles, as well as the joint support of its members. The AIIB’s accomplishments have garnered widespread recognition from the international community. Looking ahead, China stands ready to continue working hand in hand with all members to support the AIIB in attaining new development milestones. 

Prior to the reception, Lan had a brief exchange with AIIB President Jin Liqun and the bank’s senior management team. He spoke highly of Jin’s contributions to the AIIB’s development and expressed expectations that under the leadership of Madam Zou Jiayi, the bank’s incoming president, the AIIB will make new and greater strides forward.
