China’s Vice Minister of Finance Liao Min met on Dec 2 with Dan Katz, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), at the Ministry of Finance. They exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, including China–US economic and trade relations, the global and Chinese economic outlook, and the IMF’s Article IV Consultation with China. 

Liao provided an overview of China’s economic growth prospects and the recommendations for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, stressing that China’s economy maintains sound development momentum, demonstrates strong resilience and vitality and will continue to share development opportunities with the world.
