On Aug 13, Liao Min, Vice Minister of Finance, met in Beijing with Dauren Kenbeil, Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Finance. The two sides exchanged views on topics including China-Kazakhstan fiscal and financial cooperation.
Liao stated that China is ready to work together with Kazakhstan, under the guidance of the consensus reached between the two heads of state, to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fiscal and financial fields. He expressed the hope that the memorandum of understanding on fiscal cooperation between the two countries could be signed at an early date, while continuing close coordination within the framework of multilateral development institutions.
Kenbeil noted that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to developing relations with China and stands ready to further expand bilateral cooperation, strengthen mutual support and information exchange across various fields, and contribute to the consolidation and development of Kazakhstan-China relations.
