From June 5 to 6, 2024, the Monitoring Board of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation held a two-day conference in Singapore. Zhu Zhongming, Vice Minister of Finance of China, attended and addressed the conference as a member of the Monitoring Board. On the sidelines of the conference, Zhu held talks with Erkki Liikanen, Chair of the IFRS Foundation Trustees, Emmanuel Faber, Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board, and Andreas Barckow, Chair of the International Accounting Standards Board, respectively. He also met with Li Kouqing, Director of ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office, and Cao Zhongming, Chinese Ambassador to Singapore, and learned about the progress of Chinese enterprises and accounting firms in their “going global” drive during his stay in Singapore.
