Lan Fo'an, China's Minister of Finance, met with Equatorial Guinean Minister for Finance and Budgets Fortunato Ofa Mbo Nchama in Beijing on May 28, 2024. The two sides exchanged views on China-Equatorial Guinea relations and financial cooperation. Wu Fulin, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China; Wang Weidong, Executive Vice President of the China Development Bank; Simeón Oyono Esono Angue, Equatorial Guinea’s  Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Diaspora; and Milagrosa Obono Angüe, Equatorial Guinea’s Delegate Minister of Treasury and State Patrimony, also attended the meeting.
