Lan Fo'an, China's Minister of Finance, held a video meeting with Pablo Vega, Ecuador's Minister of Economy and Finance, in Beijing on May 24, 2024. The two sides exchanged views on China-Ecuador financial cooperation and Ecuador's debt issues. Gabriela Sommerfeld, Ecuador's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, Liao Min, China's Vice Minister of Finance, Wu Fulin, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China, and Wang Weidong, Executive Vice President of the China Development Bank, also attended the meeting.
