Liu Kun, China's Minister of Finance, attended and spoke at the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Gandhinagar, India, from July 17 to 18, 2023.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Liu had meetings respectively with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of South Korea Choo Kyung-ho, Finance Minister of Nepal Ram S. Mahat, Finance Minister of India Nirmala Sitharaman, Treasurer of Australia Jim Chalmers, President of the World Bank Ajay Banga, and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva. He also had a brief chat with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

They exchanged views on topics of common interest such as the global economic situation. Vice Minister of Finance Wang Dongwei accompanied Liu at those meetings.
