Wang Dongwei, Vice Minister of Finance of China, attended the Flagship Webinar of the Seventh Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) via video link, on Oct 27, 2022. 

 

Themed on “Sustainable Infrastructure toward a Connected World”, the webinar was a major event of the annual meeting this year. Wang introduced China’s historic achievements in high-quality development of infrastructure since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and exchanged views with attending representatives from governments of other developing countries, multilateral development banks, research institutions and private sector on topics such as improving infrastructure investment and financing mechanisms, enhancing infrastructure resilience, and the role of multilateral development banks in infrastructure investment. He also offered suggestions for AIIB’s future business development in infrastructure investment.
