The second BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting under the Indian presidency was held on Aug 26 via video link. The Meeting discussed issues such as global economic outlook and responding to the COVID-19 crisis, infrastructure investment, customs cooperation, financial services cooperation, information security cooperation, and Contingent Reserve Arrangement (CRA).

The Meeting endorsed outcome documents on financial and economic cooperation, including the BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Statement on Global Economic Outlook and Responding to COVID-19 Crisis and theTechnical Report on Social Infrastructure: Financing and Use of Digital Technologies, which would be submitted to the 13th BRICS Summit.

Finance Minister Liu Kun attended and spoke at the Meeting.
