The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council Announces Adjustments to Additional Tariffs on U.S. Imports

In order to implement the consensus reached on the key outcomes in China-U.S. economic and trade consultations, and in accordance with relevant laws and regulations of China, including the Tariffs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, as well as fundamental principles of international law, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council, with the approval of the State Council, announces that the additional tariff measures stipulated in the Announcement on Imposing Tariffs on Imports Originating from the United States (Announcement No. 4 of 2025) will be adjusted. Effective from 13:01 on November 10, 2025, for one year, the 24 percent additional tariff rate on U.S. imports will continue to be suspended, while the 10 percent additional tariff rate will be retained.

The continued suspension of certain bilateral additional tariffs between China and the United States will help promote the sound, stable, and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations, bring benefits to both peoples, and contribute to global prosperity.
